What is The Simula Hack?
It is time for something new and exciting at Simula Research Laboratory; an event to bring different groups together, in a creative, fun way to make cool stuff happen.
That is what the Simula Hack is all about – teams of researchers and entrepreneurs working together, on challenges you have chosen, to see what solutions can be generated across a 2 day hackathon. We have incredible brains here at Simula and we want to see what happens when we bring them together.
And it doesn’t just stop there. The winning team of the Simula Hack will receive a prize of NOK 30 000 to further develop their idea! There will also be additional funders and corporate partners in the room – eager to see what you come up with together and to get involved.
This is just the beginning. If this goes well we hope this will be a regular Simula event, bringing us all together to have fun and churn out game changing ideas.
The Simula Hack will take place from Wednesday 28th of February at 13:00 to Friday 2nd of March 2018 at 17:00 at Simula’s premises (see here for directions). Mark these dates in your calendar, or download this .ics-file.
The event will be facilitated by Mettle Studio, a design studio in the UK.
How do I apply?
We no longer accept applications. Thanks to everybody who applied!
What are the next steps?
The Simula Garage team will on 7th of December 2017 pick the 5 challenges they think are the clearest and most impactful if solved to be taken through to the hackathon.
The authors of those challenges will become team leaders and from the remaining candidates we will select team members with skillsets to tackle the selected challenges.
