AlpineHawk (2015)

Theft prevention device

AlpineHawk was a small device that attached to your skis or snowboard. When activated with a smartphone, it would detect if someone tried to steal the skis or snowboard and would sound an alarm of 100 dB as well as notify the smartphone. The AlpineHawk would also work as a locator that finds lost skis in powder. AlpineHawk was developed by AlpineTec DA, founded in January 2015. Its aim was to give users a better experience on the slopes, by making expensive alpine equipment more safe from theft and loss.
