Foodeon aimed at providing food security globally in an environmentally sustainable and responsible manner. By integrating existing horticultural technology and innovative systems, Foodeon was to recycle organic food and liquid wastes as part of a local food production process, aiming to save energy and water compared to traditional methods. It addressed environmental issues such as organic waste disposal and producing local food during winter, while aiming to compensate for extreme weather conditions.
